Preserved Grapefruit Segments with Mint Syrup

So I canned some yummy grapefruit the other night...
...they were little segments of deliciousness...
...soaked in a fragrant mint syrup...
...tasty on their own, but oh so good with some softly whipped cream.
And then I decided to candy the grapefruit peels at 9:00 at night...
...which may not have been the best idea...
...but that's a story for another day.

  2. Ok call me a boozehound, but I cannot wait to smash up a few minty segments in a glass with some rum. Insta-mojito!

  4. mmmm, candied. Grapefruit sounds so delicious and amazing in theory, but biting in to one can be a bitter disaster.

Here, they just look divine. On a hot summer week like this they must hit the spot.

Now listen up cause this is important: I LOVE the picture of you on the top right of your blog. Love it. You are stunning, seriously face the truth and stop pretending you don't like pictures of yourself. I'm gonna go stare at it some more.

  5. OH! You may have just saved me from a life without grapefruit! I love/hate it with an emphasis on hate. But I don't want to. It is the smell that always lures me back for another bite that I don't really like. But this! THIS looks divine! I must try this...
